Sevdenur Koru

I'm a Doctoral Lecturer of Political Science at Brooklyn College (City University of New York - CUNY) Political Science department. My teaching there is focused around research methods (mostly quantitative), international relations, and comparative politics both at undergraduate and graduate levels. I also serve as the Graduate Deputy of the International Affairs and Global Justice MA Program.

I received my PhD in Political Science at Temple University in 2024. My primary research interests are international security, civil wars, and international organizations. Particularly, I study the factors explaining the continuation of external interventions to civil wars through the post-conflict period.

In other projects, I study factors explaining support for international organizations both at state and individual level.

I received my BA in Political Science (double major with Business Administration) from Bogazici University and MA in Political Science from Sabanci University, Istanbul, Turkey.
